Part social phenomena, part game. The Tweeture is a social robot who loves to meet people. Now and again we set him loose to make new friends. They can cuddle him, talk to him via twitter and take him places. Doing these things pleases The Tweeture, his antennae glow green and the carer gets points; failing to care from him properly makes him grumpy and his antennae go red, then blue. He also then says some rather unpleasant things about his companion. At the end of their turn carers have to find someone else to care for The Tweeture. If they fail, they loose points. In the end, the carer with the most points wins and The Tweeture names them new best friend.

Building on our success with The Hat Game at SXSWi 2009, The Tweeture was originally commissioned by Arts Council England as a innovative way to raise the profile of the ACE delegation to SXSWi 2010. As a social marketing tool The Tweeture was highly effective and more than met the brief. The project was featured on the BBC's Digital Planet, the Tweet reach on the final day alone was over 120,000 people and there was a profusion of wonderful UGC created. We've collated some of this content in a Lulu book of The Tweeture's trip to Austin.
