Why Games?
Because everybody likes to have fun
Games are fun and people love to play them. We take this elemental truth and use it, sometimes for its own sake, other times for more specific outcomes.
The games featured on this site illustrate how we do this. We can run games to raise a brand's profile through social networks, or extend the themes of a theatre production out into the city around the venue, or have players experience the complex issues an NGO is trying to address.
Because players make choices and carry out actions motivated by the rules of the game, they can embody ideas, themes or concepts that would merely be illustrated with other media.
Rather than watching a film about the consequences of betrayal, we can have players live through a betrayal as part of a game. And even when what we promote is simply larking about, the opportunity to create conversation with a brand is exceptional.
Our games deliver a SlingShot Effect, pulling people into their orbit, then firing them out on a trajectory of our choosing. If you want to talk more about how the SlingShot Effect can work for you and your organisation, get in touch here.
